Dinawan Electricity Rebate Scheme (ERS)

A contribution towards free electricity through rebates to help lower the cost of electricity

What is the Electricity Rebate Scheme?

As part of the Neighbour Benefit Program, Spark Renewables will provide electricity subsidies to eligible households within 10 km of the Dinawan Wind Farm.

  • Up to $10,000 per year per household from construction through the wind farm’s 35-year lifespan.
  • Energy efficiency audits valued at $5,000 per property are also available for homes within 10 km of wind turbines, supporting solar and battery system upgrades.

The amounts will be determined by the distance of the eligible household from wind turbines:

  • 8 km to <10 km: $2,500 a year
  • 6 km to <8 km: 5,000 a year
  • <6 km: 10,000 a year

Who is eligible to apply?  

  • Your dwelling must be a permanent, residential dwelling located within 10 km from one of the project's constructed wind turbines.
  • The dwelling must exist before lodgement of the project's Environmental Impact Statement.
  • Payments are for the property owner's nearest dwelling within 10 km of the project's constructed wind turbines.
  • Property owner must not be a host landowner of a wind farm project.
