$1M BOMEN SOLAR FARM COMMUNITY FUND
COST-OF-LIVING SUPPORT FOR THOSE LIVING WITH DISABILITY
Spark Renewables recognise that different communities benefit from different support at different times. We support flexible and tailored solutions that generate benefit in the short term and the long term.
Abbeyfield Kooringal is a six-unit housing facility in Wagga Wagga that offers secure and affordable housing for residents living with an intellectual disability, providing them an opportunity to live independently in a safe and supportive community environment.
To support residents of Abbeyfield Kooringal, the Spark Renewables Bomen Solar Farm Community Fund awarded a $10,000 grant to Abbeyfield Australia as a contribution towards the cost of installing solar panels at Abbeyfield’s Kooringal facility.
The solar installation has meant more affordable electricity for residents, with earnings from excess daytime solar generation also helping to pay for night-time electricity use.
