Dinawan Energy Hub

Neighbour Benefit Fund

We share the benefits of our projects with neighbouring communities through a $2.5 million Neighbour Benefit Fund. The fund will provide an initial one-off payment and long-term annual rebates over the life of the Dinawan Wind Farm and Dinawan Solar Farm to the neighbours of the projects.

The Dinawan Energy Hub will contribute:
$
to the electricity and farming infrastructure rebate schemes

Ensuring neighbouring communities receive tangible benefits from the renewable energy transition

The Neighbour Benefit Fund will distribute $927,754 during stage one of the Dinawan Wind Farm, $909,563 during stage two, and a further $707,625 through the Dinawan Solar Farm

Dinawan Wind Farm ERS

Dinawan Wind Farm ERS subsidies

Subsidies under this Electricity Rebate Scheme (ERS) will be available to neighbours in eligible permanent residential dwellings located within 10 kilometres of the Dinawan Wind Farm. The scheme will commence when construction of stage one of the Dinawan Wind Farm begins, and continue throughout its 30-year operational lifespan.

Rebate amounts are based on distance of the eligible dwellings from the nearest wind turbine. The annual rebate amounts are:

  • $10,000 for dwellings within less than 6 km
  • $5,000 for dwellings within 6 to 8 km
  • $2,500 for dwellings within more than 8 km and up to 10 km
Dinawan Solar Farm ERS

Dinawan Solar Farm ERS subsidies

Subsidies under this ERS will be available to eligible landholders with land parcels located within 2 kilometres of the constructed Dinawan Solar Farm, including associated BESS infrastructure. Eligible landholders will receive $5,000 per annum.

The scheme will commence when construction of the Dinawan Solar Farm begins, following any preliminary works, and will continue throughout the project’s 35-year operational lifespan.

Eligibility is based on the proximity of the land parcel to the project, rather than the location of a physical or residential dwelling.

Dinawan FIRS

Project maps and applications

Once each phase of the Dinawan Wind Farm and Dinawan Solar Farm are confirmed to proceed to construction, Spark Renewables will prepare and publish maps of the project infrastructure so neighbours can confirm their proximity and eligibility.

The project maps will show the location of each wind turbine to be constructed, the boundaries of the different Wind Farm ERS eligibility tiers based on distance from the turbines, and the eligibility boundary for the Solar Farm ERS.

The maps will be published on the Dinawan Energy Hub website and used to help determine eligibility for the relevant Electricity Rebate Scheme.

Information about how and when to apply will be made available closer to the commencement of each scheme. In the meantime, questions about the Electricity Rebate Schemes can be directed to info@sparkrenewables.com.
